We are happy to announce that the ThemeNews theme has been released today. The theme is a news & magazine style theme that can be easily customized via the CSS file and does NOT require an installation profile to be used.

How are IE6 users handled?

Since it does not support IE6 how are users with this browser handled if they try to view the site? Do they get information about upgrading or what?

IE6 Warning Message

Hi boborg,

Users will not receive a notification about upgrading out of the box.

We do not include any extra code or modules in our themes if it can be avoided since the customer may want to install something specific that they are familiar with. We leave the choice to include IE6 warnings up to each individual customer. We have no plans to support ie6 going forward.

You can add any one of the following Drupal modules to your site:

http://drupal.org/project/sevenup

http://drupal.org/project/suy

http://drupal.org/project/ie

http://drupal.org/project/ie6update

There is a Drupal 6 module for displaying an IE6 warning, but it is not located on Drupal.org:

If you have any other questions please let me know :)
