Efficient 1.4: A problem with Translated front page

Hello,

I'm using Drupal 6.9 along with Efficient 1.4.

My website uses two different languages - English (default) and Portuguese.

For some reason, the 5 Featured blocks always come up in Portuguese.
I try to force by going to www.mysite.xxx/en but the Featured blocks still appear in Portuguese.

The news items (Stories) do appear in the right language according to my selection - this is why I feel there's something wrong with the Theme.

The rest of the site also seems to be working well.

Can i get some help with this?
