Looking for "featured top" region

Hi,

I'm sorry to bother you, but with the Efficient theme I can't get to have any block showing up in the "featured top" region.

Moreover, I wish I could have a menu showing up in the light-blue bar right under the logo (the one saying: home|buy theme|theme features|theme setup| etc on the demo site).

Would you please let me know how I could have those two features working?

Thank you in advance

There is a bug

There is a bug and there is no featured top region.
You can post there a story you select, but you cannot make a block view to show in that region.
The menu is the secondary menu. You must set it on menu options.

Are you going to make that

Are you going to make that featured_top region an others on a new update of the theme?

Top Region of the Efficient theme

Hi,
I'm not sure I follow exactly why you are saying it's a bug that the Featured 1 position is not coded to be a block, i.e. you cannot just select the region under the blocks menu and add any block created.

We defined that region in the theme to not be a typical block since it contains a background image, specific size text teaser and title, floated right.

So, I don't think I would classify the specific usage of that Featured area we coded as a bug. We really didn't want a block view to be showed there because undefined data being placed there would likely break the look and feel of the design (and possibly CSS).

Thanks

I

I understand you, as i check the code and see what you are telling. But maybe anyone, (albigin is one of them, and me before purchase the theme), could think that if i do not want to use the featured news i could use instead a block on that region.
It is not difficult to add some region to show in that location of the theme, i have added one of them myself, and everything works already. :)
So i think you could add them or explain it better on the Efficient Theme Key Features.

Just point that. :)

Thanks

Reply to featured 1 Position

Perhaps instead of saying "There is a bug" the better definition would be "Feature request for Featured top position or region" or similar since it is not a bug at all.

Thanks!

Re: Size of graphic for Feature 1

The picture size for feature 1 block is 520px × 262px.

If you upload a bigger image it will be resized to 262 px height reducing the width in the aspect ratio.
