Dome, not sure I follow your theme problem here

Hi,
If you could email me with your specific problem I would be glad to take a look at it. If you are wanting Vote up/down to display in the front page blocks, then in the full node display, then you'll have to tweak or add this exception yourself.

The front page is meant to not show the blocks shown in the theme demo only.
I'm not sure if this answers your questions, but I don't think this is a bug - especially since Vote up/down is not packaged with this theme and it's impossible to conclude problems with the more than 5,000 Drupal modules released and used within the Drupal community.
I'd be glad to help though if it is a bug from the theme itself though.
Thanks!

Not a "Bug"

Yeah, this doesn't sound like a bug with the theme (unless the node view isn't showing either, then maybe).

It sounds like you just need to add a call to:

$node->content['fivestar_widget']['#value']

to the page-front.tpl.php where it sets up the blocks.

 Assuming you're using the fivestar module, if not you'll have to sort out what the code to pull from VotingAPI is.

It's also possible some modules can turn on/off displaying output in the teaser, which is what the featured blocks display.
