JStools

I realize that the Publisher does not require JStools.  From what I undertand, you were having some difficulties with IE when using JStools so you incorporated that you needed into your code for greater control.  But can I still use the JStools module if I want to use it for other things?  Will doing so affect the Publisher Theme in any way? (think thing the answer is: "its OK to use JStools: it has no effect on Publisher" but I just want to check before I add JStools.)
