Drupal 6.0 Support

On the features section of the Efficient Theme posting, there is a
parenthetical statement about Drupal 6.0 support coming soon. Two
questions: (1) Is this kind of update still being pursued?  (2) If I
purchase and install this theme now, will a free update compatible to
6.0 be available?  Thanks.

I second motion this

I second motion this Question. I am interested in the efficient theme but I want to switch to drupal 6.

How long will it take to see the efficient theme for drupal 6?!

I am a bit worried about purchasing the theme. And there seems no much support from the webmaster of this site to answer questions.

To answer your questions

Hi Phil,
A lot of the questions and communication seem to be customers emailing us directly or contacting us through the web contact form on the site, so if it looks like there is not much in the way of theme support, it's not an entirely correct reflection.

We are working on the Drupal 6 upgrade right now. It should be done in a week or so but, quite honestly, we have not been working on it extremely hard because there have only been a few requests for it versus Drupal 5.

Another reason is that a couple of the modules needed for this theme were not upgraded to Drupal 6 by the original module maintainers (creators). So, we were hoping to not have to bypass those maintainers and build these ourselves.

I'll post more within a week or so when the Drupal 6 version is built or near completion.

Thanks

Doesn't look good

I would really love to be able to purchase quality templates for Drupal 6 and am happy to pay for them rather than use the less featured free ones. I was very happy when I found this site but it hasn't taken long for me to be a little disappointed. My main reasons for this are that there is nothing here for Drupal 6 and the few forum posts that there are, do not seem to be answered by ThemeSnap. I am sure there is a great market for someone who can provide some quality paid for templates but I haven't found one for Drupal just yet, I'm hoping things will improve here otherwise I may have to go back to Joomla and 'Rocket Theme'.

Come on guys, let's see some action here!
Best Wishes,
Mickey

Sorry you feel that way, but I'd disagree...

Hi 24240263,

"My main reasons for this are that there is nothing here for Drupal 6 and the few forum posts that there are, do not seem to be answered by ThemeSnap"

I'm sorry you've come to that quick conclusion, but before you state your thoughts so hastily please feel free to search for all of the forum posts I've personally answered here. That does not count the endless email support (usually within 1 to 2 hours after receiving them during normal business hours Monday through Friday I must add).

I'd also like to add that several of the core modules to our themes have not yet been updated to Drupal 6. If you had spent a little more time on the site I'm sure you would've spotted several posts where I explained the reason for these Drupal modules not being update yet, i.e.

Imagecache
Imagefield
Content template
etc.

Again, I'm sorry for your disappointment. But we will have some great Drupal themes here and the customer support is, in my opinion, pretty damn good. ;-)

Brian
