Install in localhost
Hi, sorry to bother you. I just try to install to my computer using wamp version 2.0h, but I cannot login to my admin accoun after using installation profile.
Sorry, my mistake. It already login for admin. :)
The "DrupalMagazine 6.x Easy Installer" installation profile is intended for demo site.
-But which is better, install from scratch (choose first installation option, "Drupal" ) or customize that demo (for security or other reason) ?
-Is it alright if I upgrade modules like CCK, imagefield, file field (there are newer version) ?
-Under recent articles teaser at frontpage, It show some PHP code like this "type); ?> type); ?> ', how to remove that ?
Thanks
Hello,
Glad you got it working. Occasionally, one might have to log into PhpMyAdmin and change the admin pw, but glad you figured it out.
It's best to use the profile installation and then upgrade any modules from that point. I would suggest only upgrading when there's been a significant improvement or security fix in the module. You can do this as per the normal module update instructions for any module.
We do update the themes each month ourselves, so it's likely one of the versions in the theme is outdated by a few days or a weeks. Our next scheduled update is in about a week.
I"m not sure where the PHP code is coming from. It's not in our latest build for that theme. Could you send a response to support at themesnap.com with your page-front.tpl.php file included? I"ll check it over against our latest build and send you the right one. If you can also include any demo URLs where we can view this, that would be great. If localhost only, then the file will do.
Thanks
Hi Jason, thanks for the reply. I'll send you the email. Btw I had sent two emails before, using 'contact' link about my account (I forgot to create this account before purchased theme), and still got no reply. :)
