What Drupal theme would people like to see built next?

i would like to see a thumbnail like image gallary theme where it could be customized later on for other type of sites that rely on image thumbnail type of display.

I have seen very few schools using Drupal. I've only seen one school template and it is boring. It is flat. It has no "school spirit". Oh ... good name for a template: School Spirit Template.

My thoughts: make a theme for schools that has more than one page style in it. Maybe even 3 styles of "template pages" ... the front page with the content (such as blog) showing up NOT in the middle, but one one of the sides. Then have something else in the middle ... maybe just blocks so that schools could choose from: calendar, photo block with maybe three pics that change or link somewhere (web 2.0ish). Then a "Sports" page ... maybe like a category or something so that each sport ... Tennis, Golf, Swimming, etc ... could create their own page and then click add coaches names, event dates (cool if those dates synced with the front page calendar. And then maybe a Teacher page ... another category? .... so teachers could create their own page, change the name, add their schedule, add assignments, upload docs, etc.

It seems silly for each school to pay to have someone design a whole site ... a template package would be so great. We are cutting staff here in CA, so there isn't thousands of dollars to hire a company, but I'll be hundreds of schools all over the world would buy a $200 template.

We are remaking our webpage using Drupal and the truth is ... it's too hard for us. I mean, we get how it works and could put a site up in a day, but we can't add a banner to the top (logo=bad, banner=good choice of logo/banner=best). In a dream world, this template would also let us not just choose to "post to the front page", but to "post to ...... choices: Athletics, Counseling, Library")

Ok. Dream over.

since drupal is mostly used on large content sites I think more magazine themes would be more popular.

Hmmm, maybe a nice geek/coding theme? Something that stands out and says: I am a geek and am proud. Something along the lines of that would be great.

I would like to see a fast loading layout, that's the most important.

I would like to se ethe Publisher theme run on Drupal 6.

I had some trouble setting this up as it was my first Drupal install but, the Themesnap support team is great! They were quick and helpful with my questions.

I would love it if you guys built a theme that works with drigg right out of the box. Maybe even modified version of one of the themes you already have would be great too. There aren't any professional themes for drigg yet (atleast I don't know of any) and I'm sure if you made one there would be people more than willing to pay to buy one.

The more Drupal 6 themes you could realease the best. We are developing new sites daily and a variety of themes help to make the site do well.

I would like another news or magazine drupal theme. I think that is very small nubmer of theme like news or magazines.

I would like to see a sports theme. I love college football. Maybe a theme where we can choose our school colors.

I would like to have some webmaster themes importantly which can load quicker as that is an important for using it.

It's great to see that you're truly taking into account what people want by going out and asking them. And a poll is a wonderful way to do it.

Having a little Drupal experience I think the important thing is to focus on ease of use. I must admit I struggled to make basic changes.

I would personally prefer a classifieds theme or a you tube theme to be done first. I am quite surprised with all the social networking sites out there people still want to make social networking sites.

i have start to learn how to use drupal for my new blog and its little hard than wordpress. But its really exciting to know there is lots of resource about it, ones is here.

I like the styles of the themes where the colors gradually change. Something like in the background of this page.

These kind of themes works best on magazine related sites. Keep up the good work!

Hey Margaret, You have a valid point to make for lack of templates concerning school and similar themes, I was looking around one for myself but was unsuccessful.

Since I get to have a vote, I'd like to see some other Digg style themes. Something I wouldn't mind seeing is a theme geared around e-commerce with a left and right side column. Just my 02.worth.

Many thanks to you for timely updating and technical support. The program I use without small 3 years. Two times were changed by the system block, and both times, the author has rendered the technical help at program reinstallation.

I second the vote for the college football theme, probably wouldnt be too difficult to do if you stuck to only the major schools like Notre Dame or Michigan.

Wow, Ia m surprised so many people are interested in yet another social networking theme. Personally, I voted for a news theme, but that is because I am sick of social networks. I would not mind the youtube one, that would be kind of neat, but not everyone has access to it.
