"Video Import module for batch/bulk FTP video uploading Embed videos from YouTube and Vimeo"

We will be able to do a batch import from youtube and vimeo to a specific category? The videos would be on youtube/vimeo and our site would only have the embedded links, is this correct?
49 months
Hi,Yes, you can do bulk video uploading in ProVideo. We used the same VideoImport module used in GoVideo and you can upload videos via FTP. Basically, here's how it works:Files for import must be uploaded to folder "/files" on a server. Folder for upload can be changed on the settings page. Choose files that you want to import and click "Import" button. Important! It's necessary to edit a newly created video nodes after importing of the video files. Otherwise, the image preview will be missing in the node. There may be other things within the specific node edit page you will want to change or edit as well.

Question. will you have a way to "Directly" upload video to S3 as many videos (especially HD) are to big and slow to directly upload to drupal. Uploading video now "has" to go through drupal which is undo bandwidth, slowness, and video upload timeouts.

Hi,Please see my reply above. You can upload videos via FTP using the VideoImport module we created. This is the only current bulk upload method built but it works really well and is simple to use. Thanks

Will there be a playlist for this theme?
48 months
Hi,Perhaps we'll add a playlist. We need to look at the exact integration. Would be best to post to the forums on the feature request page for ProVideo so that we will see it there:http://support.themesnap.com/entries/30621298-ProVideo-Feature-Requests-PageThanks!

hello if i buy this theme ,it will come with this demo content?
45 months
Hi,Yes, all of our Drupal themes, including ProVideo, comes with demo content when you install the theme using the installation profile provided within the theme. Just go through the installation profile setup steps and the demo content will be added once you're at the final stage of the process.

hi, what version of drupal and modules?
42 months
Hi, thanks for the comments. ProVideo was updated several months ago. But, as with any theme, updating Drupal core and modules only takes about 5-10 minutes depending on your Internet speed and following Drupal's standard upgrading guidelines.

This Pro-Video Drupal Theme looks great! Is it compatible with any of the video shopping cart checkout systems, like TinyPass or DigitalAccessPass, so that people can purchase videos and be routed to a protected or "Premium" content page after paying?
Or do you think Drupal's "content & Access module" in combination with WooCommerce (or other shopping cart) will work better for allowing monetization (purchase and checkout of streaming video file)?

Vonada, you can use any Commerce module extensions and any third party drupal modules for monetization because ProVideo theme uses standard drupal nodes for content output and they have no the restrictions. Thanks

Updating Drupal to 7.32.
Hi Guys,
it is important that you keep your installation profiles up to date with security updates. There was a major security update of Drupal a couple of weeks ago and this theme comes with an older installation profile
Cheers

Hi, no we don't update Drupal 7 core or third party modules up to their each new release.  We update Drupal 7 core and third party modules for each new Theme release. The security update doesn't affect theme functionality and can be done by web site maintainer in accordance with https://www.drupal.org/documentation/administer .Thanks

I have 3 questions:
1. How do you embed a Youtube video in ProVideo? What is the process? It is not clear from this preview of the theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkO3bsqFnEc&t=1m29s

2. Suppose I have 1000 Youtube video links and I want to embed all of them on my site. Would there be a quick and easy way to do it using ProVideo?

3. I only want to embed Youtube videos on my website. I do not want to upload my own videos. Would ProVideo still require my server to have FFMPEG support?
Thanks

1. You just need to insert a Video URL into the Video URL field in Embedded Video section on http://provideo1.themesnap.net/#overlay=node/add/embedded-video , enter Video title. All other fields are optional.
2. You can use Feed Import module https://www.drupal.org/project/feed_import . It is installed in the Provideo theme profile installation. For more detailed instructions check the step by step examples https://drupal.org/node/2190315
3. No, Embed Video doesn't require FFMPEG on your web server.

Thanks
